Adgistics employees doing their bit for Sport Relief

Adgistics employees hosted an energetic and fun Cycle Challenge at our London office to raise money for Sport Relief, a UK based charity.

Sport Relief is a charity event from Comic Relief that happens every two years in association with BBC Sport. Events and challenges are held all around the UK in order to help vulnerable people in both the UK and the world's poorest countries.

The campaign draws in millions of people to compete in the annual Sport Relief Mile. People run, walk, jog, bounce or even crawl, regardless of ability or age, a mile. This year Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw completed a 12 hour bike ride inside a glass box in London, covering more than 1,000 miles.

adgistics-sport-relief-1In an aim to do our bit, the Adgistics staff in our London office came together and set themselves a goal to cycle 50 miles during their workday. We have some keen cyclists and they gave tips and tricks on how to best achieve our goal. It was a great team effort and in the end we reached an astonishing 70 miles! Which roughly equates to a one way trip from London to Brighton.

Our fundraising grand total for Sport Relief came to a £136.20! Thank you to everyone for the effort and to Mosquito Bikes for use of their turbo trainer, it made all the difference for us and enables us to reach our goal.
