Network Rail, the public company that runs and operates 18 of the biggest and busiest railway stations in the United Kingdom, commissioned a Brand Centre in 2009.
In collaboration with the brand consultancy The Partners, we have delivered a system that reflects Network Rail style and values both visually and tonally.
Brand.networkrail.co.uk does not just store instantly updatable and downloadable brand guidelines. Brand assets (e.g. logos, colour palettes, etc) are cross-referenced and available on relevant pages in various formats for instant use in digital and print media. Tone of Voice standards, collections of images for agencies and media partners and examples of advertising best practice form the backbone of the Brand Centre that is being used by both the station managers and Government and Corporate Affairs offices.
After successful delivery of the core Brand Centre, Network Rail has commissioned an advanced artwork automation module to be added to the system. Visible to authorised users only, it allows them to create and print strictly on-brand leaflets and posters in minutes.
